May 13, 1-3 pm
For age 13+
The student will learn how to use point of view and perspectives to communicate clearly to the audience, as well as how to use their camera’s buttons and functions. Throughout this workshop, students will learn how to more effectively use their personal cameras, develop skills in composition and design, and further develop their creative instincts.
Students will learn the basics of photography including depth of field, composition, lighting, as well as an introduction to camera settings to achieve the best results. They will also learn about specific techniques for specialized photography. This workshop allows them to choose their topic of interest in a live 2-hour online class.
This class will allow time for the students to practice and explore their learning in photography. This is an interactive, student-centred class with plenty of hands-on experiences. Students will have opportunities to explore their own passions in photography, allow their artistic skills to flourish, and develop necessary presentation and interpersonal skills.
Students must supply their own camera (not a smartphone). A computer or tablet with internet access, a webcam and microphone are necessary. Students will choose their subject in advance.
