Job Purpose
Gather and capture student information into our SIS, prepare and file student records, be passionate about our mission to help families flourish.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Work closely with Data Manager to fulfill AB Ed data requirements and supporting Institute staff with data sourcing, retrieval and troubleshooting.
- Prepare source data and entering new and updated student information.
- Sort, scan, file paper and digital student records following procedure and appropriate quality control methods.
- Establish entry priorities; Process student source documents by reviewing data for discrepancies.
- Resolve discrepancies by using standard procedures and obtaining further information for incomplete documents.
- Maintain data entry requirements by following SIS techniques and procedures.
- Maintain FOIP and PIPA standards and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
- Communicate with school administrators across the province to ensure proper sharing of student documents and information.
- Maintain operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes to the Senior SIS Data Manager.
- Contribute to team effort by answering calls and emails, offering support to parents and students as needed.
- Communicate with parents and other jurisdictions to resolve overlapping enrolments.
- Respond to selected emails and phone calls on behalf of the Data Manager.
- Represent home school administration at events as needed.
Qualifications & Personal Qualities
- Strong computer skills
- Previous experience with PASI and SIS preferred.
- Home schooling graduate or home educating parent strongly preferred.
- High School Completion required.
- Ability to concentrate for lengthy periods and have excellent attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a desire to serve.
Working Conditions
FTE or continuous variable-time, wage status. Some evenings and weekends may be required.
