Family-hosted GatheringsiCAL Export
WISDOM fully supports and encourages grass-roots events hosted by our families, strengthening homeschooling by helping to build networks of local home school community. Events listed here are organized and hosted by WISDOM Home Schooling families. WISDOM has not organized these events, so the information is published as provided by the individual hosting the event.
Questions about Family Hosted Events may be directed to the host listed, rather than to WISDOM's events team.
Higher Ground Christian School has once again contacted local WISDOM facilitators and families, and generously offered to accommodate a group of homeschoolers for track and field, May 8th!
This is an invitation for the WISDOM homeschoolers to join the Higher Ground Christian School students for a track and field day on May 8, 2026. The WISDOM group has been appreciated at this event since 2012.
Time: 8:30-3
Site: Crescent Heights High School track
Participants: Ages 5–15
Events:
Track events — 50 m, 100 m, 200 m, and 400 m races
Field events — softball throw, discus throw, shot put, long jump, triple jump, high jump
- Participants may enter all 10 events or choose the ones they wish to do. However, they should remain with their group throughout the day.
Practice Times: May 5 and 6 from 3:45-5:00 pm at Higher Ground Christian School, located in Veinerville off Highway 41A. Please contact Wayne (info below) if you wish to attend.
Helpers: Help is especially appreciated with the youngest groups. If a helper would like to stay at one event all day, please let Wayne know. Helpers who move from event to event can assist at multiple stations. Those who have aged out (older than 15) but have helped in the past are definitely welcome—teenagers who assisted in 2025 were terrific! Lunch is provided at no cost for helpers.
