Job Purpose
Direct development and execution of the WISDOM Mediated Learning Program, supporting parents through creating and offering workshops, performing Dynamic Assessments, and supervising the gathering and dissemination of resources.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Mediated Learning Parent Training Workshop Development/updating
- Parent Training Workshop Resource Development/updating
- Present online courses in parent and student mediation training
- Provide resources to parents for their children
- Provide ML support to parents over the phone and via email, and parent consultations – pre-& post assessment
- Team training/study
- Write ML articles for WISDOM magazine
- Provide resources and assistance to Facilitators
- Provide progress and review reports annually
- Attend and make presentations at annual Facilitator In-service
- Speak at conferences/gatherings several times a year e.g. High School Conference
- Process registration for ML eventsSupervise ML staff
- Video and editing of promotional media for ML program
- Assist with post-event surveys
- Oversee Dynamic Assessment services
- Administer the Feuerstein Learning Propensity Assessment Device (LPAD) for students 8 yrs old and up
- Coordinate scheduling and location for assessments
- Provide LPAD Dynamic Assessment reports to parents
- Submit event reports
Qualifications & Personal Qualities
- Post-secondary training and certification in Learning Propensity Assessment Device (LPAD), mediated learning
- Study of cognitive development with ongoing education required
- Home schooling graduate or home educating parent
- Reliable, self-directed, punctual, with great attention to detail
- Ability to express oneself well is crucial, in both written and spoken communication
- Must exhibit critical thinking skills and a desire to serve the home school community
- Have strong ability to use basic computer software
Working Conditions
Continuous variable-time, waged status. Working from a home office, the WISDOM office, or elsewhere as required. Some evenings and weekends may be required.
