This program will introduce students to the scientific method and develop their knowledge and skills in the realmof Biology. They will study and conduct experiments regarding: Scientific Method (Rate of Fermentation of Sugar); Evolution (from a Christian perspective); Photosynthesis; General Anatomical Systems (Fetal Pig Dissection); and Respiratory System (Pulmonary Function Testing). Students will write a lab report for each experiment and willreceive personalized feedback to aid and improve further studies.

Where: Alternating between online and at Holy House of Our Lady & St. John, 1423 8 Ave SE, Calgary

This program will introduce students to the scientific method and develop their knowledge and skills in the realm of the Physical Sciences in Chemistry and Physics. They will study and conduct experiments regarding: Study of Motion (Uniform vs. Non-Uniform motion); Study of Matter (Properties of Metals/Non-Metals/Ionic Compounds/Molecular Compounds/Acids); Dynamics (Ramp-Acceleration); Physical and Chemical Change (Factors that determine melting points of various molecular compounds). Students will write a lab report for each experiment and will receive personalized feedback to aid and improve further studies. 

When: 9:00 - 10:30 am Tues/Thurs, October 27 to December 3 in time for January 18 diploma exam

When: Weekly, beginning February 6
Where: Alternating between online and at Gilbertine Academy, 1423 8 Ave SE, Calgary

This program will further expose students to the scientific method and develop their knowledge and skills in the realm of Biology. They will study and conduct experiments regarding: The Neurological System (Dissection of Sheep’s Brain and Cow Eye); Endocrine System (Case studies and testing); Reproductive System (Pregnant Sow Reproductive Tract Dissection); Genetics (Hardy Weinberg Principle). Students will write a lab report for each experiment and will receive personalized feedback to aid and improve further studies.

When: 9:00 - 10:30 am Tues/Thurs, February 16 to March 25 in time for the April 6 diploma exam
