Screenwriting WorkshopScreenplays are the starting point for every film. In this workshop, students will learn the fundamentals of screenwriting, from brainstorming an initial idea to finished short film. The workshop will cover log lines (a 1-2 sentence summary of your script that hooks your reader and describes the story’s central conflict), character development, the three-act plot structure, formatting a screenplay, writing for the visual nature of film, and revising through table reads and feedback. Students will be given a weekly writing assignment. There will not be tutorials, but there will be time after the workshop in which you can ask one-on-one questions.
