La Crete Spring Social 2022

For all home schooling families and those considering home schooling - you are all welcome! You’ll meet other home schoolers, you and your children will make new friends and play games, and you can ask questions of WISDOM Facilitators Kim Schultz and Paul van den Bosch. 

ML Student Course - HIGH SCHOOL - Apr 27

Online

Join your high school student for an online training course.  Designed for both the student (age 14+) and the parent in online participation. Parent must have previously taken an ML workshop. If the parent has not yet taken Foundations, please check the website for upcoming workshops.

Workshop runs for three Wednesdays: April 27, May 4 & 11, from 7:00 – 9:00 pm.

This series of three 2-hour sessions will include instruction, participation, and opportunity for Q & A. As participants meet in a virtual classroom, a microphone headset, a strong internet connection and speakers are required.

High School & Beyond Conference

WISDOM High School & Beyond Conference 
Getting the Most out of High School at Home

ONLINE via Zoom.

Purchase access to our online High School Conference with speakers who will help you get the most out of high school at home, preparing you for future success.  The conference took place live on March 26, and the recordings are available for a limited time.

This conference will inspire youth to engage in their own education, as well as inform and encourage parents.  It was a jam-packed day with lots of great information.

Recordings may be viewed until the end of day on April 30, 2022.

Cost: 
$40 per family for WISDOM families. 
($85/family for non-WISDOM families.)

Beginner Ballroom Dance Workshop - Calgary 2022

Gilbertine Academy (St John the Evangelist Catholic Church)

Our ballroom dance workshops are a great place to have fun while learning the basics of ballroom dancing. You will not only learn the basics - like how to waltz, rumba, fox trot and jive - instructors Mike and Michele Barter will also teach ballroom etiquette. These workshops have trained several generations of homeschoolers in the art of ballroom dance. Students benefit from the training in social graces as well as the opportunity to spend time with other home schoolers. 

Registration begins at 9:30am

Dance workshop all day with a break for lunch. 

Bring a bag lunch, and a main dish and salad or dessert for the potluck supper. Ball begins at 7:00pm. Please bring a change of clothes for the ball. Semi formal to formal attire. 

Prices:
$160.00 per family
$40.00 per individual 

Drop in for the grand ball: $50 per family and $15 per individual.

Fairview Spring Social

Please join us for a spring social gathering of WISDOM families. You may also invite anyone who is interested in finding out more about home schooling.

Lunch: Hamburgers, hot dogs and refreshments will be supplied. Please bring a salad or dessert.

If the weather is good, bring some lawn chairs for the outside.

Calgary Area Spring Social

The Calgary Spring Social will be held at Priddis Community Hall in the hamlet of Priddis, AB  just a 15 minute drive S.W. of Calgary. The mountain view is gorgeous on this beautiful drive.

We will have frozen treats for everyone.
