Foraging Walk A 2022

A morning in the North Saskatchewan river valley with wild food guide Kevin Kossowan. Learn about 10-20 species of wild edible plants and fungus, with a focus on their use in the home kitchen.

Kevin Kossowan has been on 100+ wild food adventures in the Canadian wild for his twice James Beard Foundation award nominated web series ‘From The Wild’. He’s taught field cookery at the Global Bushcraft Symposium, co-creates the series ‘Wild Harvest’ with Les Stroud and chef Paul Rogalski airing on PBS and National Geographic, has led numerous foraging workshops and forage-to-table workshops, and regularly works with chefs exploring the culinary potential of the Canadian wilderness.

Pembina River Provincial Park (Evansburg) Spring Social

Please join us for a spring social gathering of Wisdom Home School families. You may also invite anyone who is interested in finding out more about home schooling.

Lunch: Hamburgers, hot dogs and refreshments will be supplied. Please bring a salad or dessert.

If the weather is good, bring some lawn chairs for the outside.

Thorhild Spring Social

Fun In The Park

Open to all homeschooling families in the Thorhild County and surrounding area as well as those considering homeschooling! Come connect with other homeschoolers and get to know who is in your area. Maybe you know someone who is interested in learning more about homeschooling. Bring them along for some family fun. 

Students are invited to bring a display or project that they have worked on this year to celebrate their learning achievement and encourage other homeschoolers. 

Cookies and juice will be provided.

Medicine Hat Spring Picnic

Current home schooling families and those contemplating home schooling are welcome! Visit with other home schoolers and members of the WISDOM team and find out more about how WISDOM can serve you best.

We will provide burgers, hot dogs, buns, condiments, and water.

Please bring: potluck salad/side dish/veggies, and dessert.
Those who prefer to bring their own food are welcome to do so, but let us know to aid in planning. 
Lawn chairs and balls/games are always handy.
