Fundamentals of Chess J - Ages 6-10What: Fundamentals of Chess Six participant maximum. Does your child love to play chess? This six-week program is a unique opportunity to play the game while improving skills in Problem Solving, Deductive Reasoning and Creative Thinking by solving chess puzzles and executing a systematic process to beat your opponent. While this program is called "beginner" it will challenge your chess player and keep them engaged, even if they have been playing for years. |

Westlock and Area Fall GatheringPlease come out for a fun day to connect with other homeschooling families and enjoy some camp fun!! It is a great place to ask questions and get inspired! There will be food, games, prizes and even a campfire in the evening. We are looking forward to seeing you there. Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village - Fall Family EventWhen: Saturday, September 10, 2022 Where: Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village: 25 minutes (50 km) east of Edmonton; at 195041 Highway 16 East Come for as much of the day as you like and take the self-guided tour. Gather with WISDOM families at 12:00 near the big red barn. Watch for WISDOM signs marking our picnic site. Bring your own lunch, drinks and a picnic blanket for seating and enjoy meeting and visiting with WISDOM families. After lunch, continue to tour more of the site as you wish. There will be the opportunity to view an old-fashioned threshing bee as well as other historical activities; times will be posted. We’d love to have you attend! Join your facilitator hosts: RSVP by September 7 by registering below. Admission to "Harvest of the Past" is paid at the gate upon your arrival. Arrive at 9:30 if you’d like to be there right when it begins at 10:00; admission can take awhile if there is a long line up of vehicles. Edmonton Family BBQSaturday Sept 10, 2022 Meadowlodge Bible Camp (Right next door to Birch Bay Camp) Southeast of Sherwood Park Township Rd 215 and Range Rd 215 3:00 - 8:00 pm or so. Please bring a Salad and a dessert to share Burgers and dogs provided, beverages, too! Bring a lawn chair if the weather is good, and any games if you are inclined. Any entrepreneurs are welcome to display their wares, and tables for used curriculum will be available. |

Lakeland & Area Family Gathering Potluck Supper & Family DanceWhen: Saturday, September 10, 4:30pm-10pm This is a Potluck Supper event! Families are asked to please bring a potluck main course option and either a salad or dessert for the potluck portion of the event. A free family dance for WISDOM families will follow the meal.
