Okotoks Catholic Homeschool Group MeetupDate: Last Tuesday afternoon of every month. Monthly meetings at St James Catholic Church on the LAST Tuesday afternoon of the month. Field trips on the SECOND Tuesday of the month. All are welcome, content geared towards Grades K-3 Parents can stay and socialize with younger/older siblings! Please bring water bottles and snacks for yourselves and children attending classes |

Essay Skills: Write Your Best English 30 Diploma Exam C6-week workshop This workshop is intended to assist students who are preparing for the written portion of the English 30 Diploma exam. Students will learn to decode essay prompts and utilize effective essay formatting. Applicants need to have advanced writing experience. This workshop covers the 2 essay types of the written portion of the exam: the Critical/Analytical Response to Literature and the Personal Response. Students will be taken through an 6 week program to cover each of the 7 scoring categories of the exam to help students achieve the highest score they can. Students will meet up to 90 minutes twice a week, and will have lots of hands-on writing practice and feedback. Marks for essays and mock-exam in this workshop may be used toward the ELA course challenge portfolio. Workshop acceptance based upon application. A maximum of eight students will be accepted. |

Camrose Phys-ed Activity MeetupDate: Every Tuesday from 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM starting April 4 and ending May 2 Geared towards ages 8 - 17. Younger siblings welcome as long as they are supervised. Days will consist of some organized activities, free play and casual sports (basic rules will be explained, some skills may be practiced and games will be for fun). $5 / Child or $10 / Family per day - pre pay by etransfer or cash the day of. |
