Peace River/Fairview Fall Family Gathering

When: Sunday September 24th from 1pm to 5pm
Where: Dunvegan Bridge (between Rycroft and Fairview, just north of the bridge crossing the Peace River).

We will provide meat, buns and fixings.

Please bring: camp chairs, a salad/side dish and a dessert to share, and WATER BALLOONS (really!) because this is your chance to soak a WISDOM Facilitator!

Survival: Plant and Mushroom ID and Wild Cooking G - Lethbridge

When: Thursday, September 28 from 1 - 4pm 
Where: Indian Battle Park (Meet at Alberta Picnic Shelter)

Join Kaykima for a wander through the forest and discover what plant, berries, and fungi are edible, medicinal and useful. We will also learn how to identify potentially toxic plants, berries and fungi. The class will end with a wild cooking demonstration where participants will learn methods of preparing what you have foraged. 

Catholic Mass for the Start of the School Year

Please join us and invite your friends and family who love homeschooling! September 28th, 5pm Roman Catholic Mass to celebrate the start of the homeschool year, followed by potluck supper in the church hall.

We do accept post-funded families throughout the year on a case-by-case basis.

Jurassic Forest WISDOM Family Gathering

ANNOUNCING WISDOM's Family Gathering at Jurassic Forest on September 29! 

Where: 23210 Township Road 564 #2, Gibbons, AB

• WISDOM Families gather at 9:45am, and receive name tags / share family introductions before heading into the Park
• We have 100 free registrations, just click Register below! 
• 10:00am Start (Meeting spot TBA)
• Get up close and personal with a forest full of massive and majestic dinosaurs! Watch herbivores like Stegosaurus and Triceratops graze peacefully while primeval predators like Albertosaurus and Tyrannosaurus stalk in the shadows. Meet these and many more prehistoric creatures while walking 2 kilometers of boardwalk trails through a beautiful old-growth forest.
• Mini Explorers Scavenger Hunt (Ages 4-7)
• Mighty Explorers Scavenger Hunt (Ages 8-12)
• Come prepared to connect and gather with other WISDOM Families!  

Grande Prairie Fall Family Gathering

When: Saturday Sept 30 from 11am-2pm
Where: Down to Earth Petting Zoo
20km North Of Grande Prairie on Highway 2 Right on Highway 674 towards TP Creek for 8.1km Left on RR51 for 4km Right into Farm (round house with grass on the roof)

There will be hot dogs and condiments provided. Please bring a water bottle and a side to share.
