Survival: Fall Foraging - Calgary E924When: September 22, 2025 from 1-3 Parental presence required Join Kaykima for an immersive Fall Foraging Class where you'll reconnect with the land and learn to identify the edible, medicinal, and practical gifts nature offers during the autumn season. Fall is a great time to harvest berries at their sweetest and to track down some late summer mushrooms! Whether you're a beginner or have experience in the wild, this class offers a rich, hands-on opportunity to deepen your understanding of the natural world around you. Please wear long pants as we will most likely go off trail. Feel free to bring any berries or mushrooms to class that we can identify as well! |

Basic Wilderness Survival - Lethbridge E927When: September 24, 2025 from 10-12pm Parental presence required This class will start off with a discussion about wilderness safety/what to do if you get lost, followed by a discussion about effective types of shelters for a variety of conditions. Then participants will get hands on and build their own emergency shelter with minimal tools. |

Survival: Full Day Combo: Lethbridge E926When: September 24, 2025 from 10am - 3pm (bring a bagged lunch) Parental presence required Take advantage of both our Firecraft and Basic Wilderness Survival workshops at a discounted rate. This class will start off with a discussion about wilderness safety/what to do if you get lost, followed by a discussion about effective types of shelters for a variety of conditions. Then participants will get hands on and build their own emergency shelter with minimal tools. Fire starting takes a look at the science behind fire, and the hallmarks of an effective fire. Participants will have the opportunity to practice fire starting using basic methods. This class is a precursor to Advanced Fire Starting. Advanced Fire Starting includes class discussion about fire maintenance, "the right fire for the right job," and the opportunity for participants to practice their fire-building skills with advanced methods, and using all-natural materials. |
