When preparing for the rugged Alberta wilderness, assembling a well-rounded survival kit is essential for both safety and confidence on the trail. A reliable kit should include dependable fire starters to keep you warm and signal for help, as well as sturdy cordage for shelter building, gear repairs, or unexpected emergencies. Adding comprehensive emergency and first-aid supplies and basic tools ensures you’re ready to handle injuries or sudden changes in conditions. With these items packed and ready, you can head into your next adventure knowing you’re equipped for the challenges and surprises the wild may bring. Participants will create their own kits based on their own activities in the wild.
