WISDOM 30th Anniversary Camp

Join us for WISDOM’s Family Camp, celebrating 30 years of WISDOM Home Schooling!

WISDOM began as a way to meet the needs at the heart of home schooling families, with service offered ‘by home schoolers, for home schoolers’. That passion for this amazing lifestyle continues to this day, as we continue to work to help parents teach their whole child. Join us at this fun family camp to connect with other WISDOM families, reminisce, and celebrate!

Where: Battle Lake 4H Centre

Accommodation options include camping in your trailer/rv or tent, or booking dorm space or multi-family teepee (sleeps 15, only 3 available). First registered, first booked! No hookups/powered sites available. Families may bring their own food or purchase meal passes.

Activities Include: archery, baseball, swimming, boating/kayaking (bring your own watercraft), chess, soccer, card making, perler beads ...and more!

Cost: $275 per family or $100 per individual

Bring:

1. Drinking (and cooking) water
2. Meals and snacks excluding Saturday supper (or purchase meal package)
3. Camping gear
4. Lawn chairs
5. Board games in case of inclement weather
6. Snack to share for anniversary celebration Saturday evening
7. A poster of your family detailing your home schooling journey with WISDOM!

Important:

• Due to location safety requirements, registration is limited to family members only.
• No off-leash pets allowed.
• No ATVs allowed.
• Boat launch permissible from Back Country Group Camp.
• Water is not potable.
• No refrigeration (meal packages are available for an additional cost)
• Long walk (130 stairs or long trail) from main camping area to the beach, teepees, and overflow tenting area.

12:00pm - Lunch on your own 

2:00-3:00pm - Archery: 10 spots 

2:00-4:00pm

• Perler beads: 45 spots  
• Diamond painting: 60 spots  

2:00-5:00pm - Baseball clinic and game: 54 spots 

5:00pm - Supper on your own 

7:00pm - Simple Drama Tableaux: 50 spots 

Saturday 

10:00am

• Archery: 10 spots 
• Card making: 65 spots 
• Relay race: 60 spots  
• Chess: (bring your own board) 24 spots 

12:00pm - Lunch on your own 

2:00pm - Volleyball game: 12 spots 

2:00-4:00pm - Dance workshop: 100 spots 

5:00pm - Whole camp gather at tents for words from our founders, dinner and dance.

Sunday 

Morning: Organized cleanup and departure by 12pm.

Meal Packages

Indicate that you're interested in the meal packages when you register to receive more information closer to the camp! All prices are to be confirmed.

Friday - $55 per person

• *GF OPTION - Add $2.50 per meal
• *Breakfast OPTION - Add $1.00 for choice of one of the following: Piece of fruit, yogurt or cold cereal.
• Breakfast: Scrambled Eggs, pancakes, panfries, bacon.
• Lunch: Creamy potato soup, make your own cold cut sandwich.
• Supper: Pasta with meat sauce, caesar salad and garlic toast.

Saturday - $TBD

• *GF OPTION - Add $2.50 per meal
• *Breakfast OPTION - Add $1.00 for choice of one of the following: Piece of fruit, yogurt or cold cereal.
• Breakfast: Scrambled burrito with pan fries.
• Lunch: Taco salad bar
• Supper: Provided by WISDOM.

Sunday - $15 per person

• *GF OPTION - Add $2.50 per meal
• *Breakfast OPTION - Add $1.00 for choice of one of the following: Piece of fruit, yogurt or cold cereal.
• Breakfast: Scrambled Eggs, pancakes, panfries, sausage.
