Virtual Farm Tour - Winter Feeding on the Farm

Virtual Farm Tour - Winter Feeding on the Farm

Winter Feeding on the Farm

Do cattle eat different food in the winter? Do they need salt? How do you drive a tractor in the snow? How do you keep chickens warm when it gets cold? What grains grow in Alberta?

1:30-2:30

Charlotte from Chatsworth Farm will answer these questions and more during a virtual tour of her family farm near Vermilion. We’ll see all the different animals and focus on how to feed them in winter and how their nutrition needs change in colder weather, learn about operating various pieces of big equipment and how the farm uses them to feed the farm's livestock, how to mix the feed for chickens and other poultry from the grains grown on the farm, plus identifying grains that grow on the farm.

Join us for a Virtual Video Farm Tour Workshop highlighting farm activities, chores, and animals. This will include cattle, sheep, ducks, geese, chickens and more. Our host is a former WISDOM graduate and entrepreneur who loves her life in the country.

$20 for the whole family.
