What: Mind to Matter STEAM Lab Workshop
Where: Holy House, 1423 8 Ave SE, Calgary 
When: November 12 from 9:00-4:00pm with an hour off to grab lunch
Cost: $135 per person
Who: Grades 3 to 12

Join us for an amazing STEAM Hands-On Lab with LEGO Technic, KEVA Planks, and Modular Origami.   

In this full day lab with these resources, we will focus on:

• Experimentation and Creativity
• Problem Solving and Building Design
• Teamwork and Presenting Skills

Did you know that when you build with LEGO Technic and KEVA Planks and do Modular Origami, you are activating your whole brain? LEGO Technic building will help your child to understand engineering mechanics by hands-on learning of how these machines work. Building with KEVA Planks are a great way to improve critical thinking, understand geometric structures, and explore balance and proportion, all while letting your child’s imagination soar! Your child will have the opportunity to build incredible projects individually and participate in fun group challenges. Origami, the art of folding paper, helps develop your child at the cognitive level in memory, and logical and sequential thinking as your child will learn new skills, while building intricate 3-D objects.

We are so excited to offer WISDOM students access to this full day lab in Calgary!  We look forward to seeing what you will create!

This full day lab will be held in the gym at Holy House in Calgary with Andrew & Laurie Zienchuk, both Alberta certified teachers. The morning lab will run from 9-12:00pm. We will all break for lunch from 12-1:00pm. The afternoon lab will run from 1-4pm.

Cancellation policy: If we have to cancel an event due to low registration, we will refund your money. However, if you cancel within two weeks of a scheduled camp or event, your money can not be refunded. Without the necessary funds, your last-minute cancellation may otherwise close down an entire event.
