Survival: Salve & Tea - Calgary

What: Salve & Tea
When: May 29 from 1 – 3 pm rescheduled for May 15 from 1 – 3 pm
Where: Bowness Park (Meet by the washrooms by the playground)

Time to stop and contemplate the beauty and amazing gift of the Spruce and other conifers we have throughout Canada. Participants will learn about the edible, medicinal and useful parts of the Spruce tree. We will make spruce salve made from spruce resin that can be used on dry skin and lips. We will end the class with a warm cup of spruce tea. Please bring your own reusable mug.

This program is geared towards homeschool students ages 5 - 17. While parents are not obligated to participate in these workshops, a parental representative must be present for students. Parents and younger siblings are also welcome to stay for class, free of charge. We simply ask that students be given the space to fully engage and participate in the program.

We run our programs rain or shine and encourage parents/students to check the weather on the day of class and dress accordingly. We suggest wearing layers, as well as long pants and closed toed shoes.
