Beginner Ballroom Dance Workshop - Edmonton
Location: Northmount Community Hall
9208 140 Ave NW
Are you feeling the mid-winter blues? Ballroom dancing is just the thing to cheer you up. This workshop is a great place to have fun while learning the basics of ballroom dancing. Not only will you learn steps in the waltz, fox trot, jive and rumba, our instructors Mike and Michelle Barter will also teach you ballroom etiquette. Students benefit from the training in social graces as well as the opportunity to spend time with other home schoolers.
The day consists of instruction and practise, followed by a potluck supper and ‘grande ball’. After supper, you will have time to change into your evening attire for the ball.
Bring your own lunch, snacks, and a main dish as well as a salad or dessert for the potluck supper.
Evening attire may be semi-formal to formal.
Cost: $140 per family.
Come just for the potluck and the ball: $10 per person at the door (ball begins at 7:30pm)
