Experience a full day of hands-on learning with our Wilderness Skills Survival Day, designed to build confidence and competence in Alberta's great outdoors. Participants will explore the fundamentals of safe foraging, learning how to identify useful wild plants and mushrooms while practising responsible harvesting techniques. The day also includes practical guidance on assembling effective survival kits, covering essential items such as fire starters, cordage, emergency gear, and first-aid supplies to prepare you for unexpected challenges. Rounding out the experience is an introduction to wildlife tracking and safety, where students will learn to read animal signs, understand behaviour, and navigate the wilderness with awareness and respect. This immersive program equips you with the knowledge and skills needed to venture into nature with preparedness and confidence.
