Nature Hike at Riverlot 56 - St Albert

Where: Riverlot 56 - Upper Trailhead, St Albert

Riverlot 56 is a 108-hectare patch of field and forest next to the Sturgeon River on Poundmaker Road. It’s currently a protected provincial natural area.

This is a popular trail for birding, cross-country skiing, and hiking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime.

There are two trailheads for River Lot 56.  We will be meeting at the upper trailhead, off Poundmaker Road.  The parking lot is just north of the St Albert Municipal Cemetery (25116 Poundmaker Rd, St. Albert, AB).

Difficulty: Easy

All ages are welcome.
