Spring Foraging - Calgary E1101

Spring Foraging - Calgary E1101

When: 9 June, 1:00–3:00 p.m.
Where: Calgary - Carburn Park

Join us this spring in the Alberta wilderness for a hands-on foraging class focused on early-season morel and oyster mushrooms. Designed for both beginners and seasoned outdoor enthusiasts, the workshop will guide students through responsible foraging etiquette, safe and accurate mushroom identification, and best practices for harvesting in a sustainable way. Participants will also explore creative cooking ideas and simple, delicious recipes that highlight the unique flavours of these prized wild mushrooms. The class features a live cooking demonstration, and students will have the opportunity to sample a freshly prepared mushroom dish, bringing the full forest-to-table experience to life.

Please wear long pants as we will most likely go off trail. Feel free to bring any berries or mushrooms to class that we can identify as well!
