Beginner Web Design E1156
When: Wednesdays, from 9-10:30am, beginning October 6 for 10 weeks.
Who: Ages 12–18
Requirements: A computer and internet connection
This 10-week live virtual course teaches students to build real websites from scratch using the actual languages of the web — HTML for structure, CSS for style, and introductory JavaScript for interactivity. No prior experience is needed; the course begins at the very beginning and moves at a pace that builds genuine confidence with every session.
By the end, each student will have created their own multi-page personal website — a live, shareable portfolio piece that is entirely their own work.
Good web design is a hands-on skill that cannot simply be handed over to AI. Understanding how websites are actually built gives students the foundation to work with AI tools intelligently, evaluate what they produce, and create things that are truly their own. The problem-solving instincts and creative confidence that come from building by hand are skills that carry far beyond any single project.
- All sessions are conducted live online.
- Class size is limited to 10 students for personalized attention.
No prior experience required.
