Vermilion & Area Spring Social

When: Friday, June 14 from 1 – 4pm
Where: Chatsworth Farm

This event is open to all current WISDOM home schooling families as well as those families who are contemplating home schooling with WISDOM in the future. This is a great opportunity to visit with other home schoolers and members of the WISDOM team and find out more about how WISDOM can serve you best.

WISDOM is hosting a farm tour at Chatsworth Farm near Vermilion. Come see all the amazing happenings of life on the farm! Join us for the day to meet the Wasylik family, see where your food comes from, learn more about farming, and enjoy a day out reconnecting with nature. You'll be able to see cattle, sheep, pigs and poultry, including some of the spring/early summer babies; guided garden tours will also be available. Please bring: Your family picnic lunch. There will be a few tables available at the farm, but you'll need to bring your own lawn chairs and picnic blankets. Dress for the farm, with closed-toed shoes, layers, a hat (good for sun AND rain!), and water bottles; you can refill your water bottles at the farm hydrant. Also bring sunscreen, insect repellent, and hand sanitizer. Portapotties are available onsite.Farm products are available for purchase, so you might want to bring some cash and a cooler for farm fresh eggs, beef, lamb, pork, and flour.

Cost: $20 per family (WISDOM will sponsor the remaining cost per family)
