Winter Survival Workshop AWhen: Monday, January 9, 2023 from 1 - 3 pm Winter Survival Workshop - students will discuss what needs to be considered in winter survival vs survival in other seasons, types of winter shelters, and how to choose which shelter to build. Students will then go out and build winter shelters in groups. Depending on the weather, location, snow coverage etc., students may build quinzhees, snow trenches, or super shelters. Grades 1-12 (parents and younger siblings are welcome to attend, free of charge, however, we do ask that guardians allow their students the space to fully participate and engage in the program) |

Mediated Learning Foundations DLearn the steps to empower your innate teaching skills. This series of three 2-hour sessions will include instruction, parent participation, and opportunity for Q & A. As participants meet in a virtual classroom, a microphone headset, a strong internet connection and speakers are required. Workshop runs for three Mondays: January 9, 16, and 23, from 7 pm – 9 pm. Foundations is a prerequisite to all other Mediated Learning Courses with the exception of Screen Impact. Once you have completed Foundations, please explore the other courses in any order. |

Chess: Intermediate Continuation Class L - All AgesWhat: Chess: Intermediate Continuation Class Six participant maximum. Intermediate chess course is for students who want to learn complex concepts that revolve around seeing at least 2 moves ahead or more. This challenging 6 week course helps students reach their full potential as they master all fundamentals and start visualizing multiple variations. Classes can only be taken by students who took the beginner chess class offered by WISDOM or for students who contacted Mr Bloom directly to verify skill level. |

Speech & Language Development AWith special guest Sarah Crick, MSc, R.SLP, CCC-SLP, and WISDOM mom. Discover how you can help your child with speech/language delays at home. Join us for an online information session with answers to your specific questions, information and resources. As participants meet in a virtual classroom, a microphone headset, a strong internet connection and speakers are required. January 11, 2pm $30 per couple or individual parent As you register, please let us know of a specific question you would like to ask, as well as the age of your child. |

Fundamentals of Chess T - Ages 6-10What: Fundamentals of Chess for ages 6-10 Six participant maximum. Does your child love to play chess? This six-week program is a unique opportunity to play the game while improving skills in Problem Solving, Deductive Reasoning and Creative Thinking by solving chess puzzles and executing a systematic process to beat your opponent. While this program is called "beginner" it will challenge your chess player and keep them engaged, even if they have been playing for years. |

Chess: Advanced Continuation Class H: All AgesWhat: Chess: Advanced Continuation Class Four participant maximum This Workshop is for students who have completed the beginner and intermediate chess workshops and are ready for some fine tuning to their skills. Students have learned core chess concepts, while solving puzzles to improve problem solving skills . In Advanced Chess, it's time to put those skills into action. This class focuses on real-time game playing with personalized coaching, and adds in new concepts that take the game to the next level. |
