Grande Prairie Family Get TogetherOngoing Coffee & Conversation for moms at Anella's house on the second Monday evening of each month. Beginning: September 11, 2023 from 7-10pm updated time: 7:30 - 9:30 pm. No childcare will be provided but nursing babies are welcome. Concurrently, there will be teen activities (movie night, board games etc).

Survival: Torch Making and Fire Starters A - Drayton ValleyWhen: October 10 from 1 - 4pm Since winter is coming let's warm up with some fire related bushcrafting. In this class participants will learn how to make a torch with only natural materials as well as how to make a natural firestarter that you can take home and use on future adventures. There will also be a knife skill component to this class to ensure safe use! |

Track and Field Day - EdmontonWhen: October 12 from 9:00am to 3:30pm There could possibly be Sprints (100m, 200m, Relays), Running Long Jump, Shot Put, Mid-Distance runs (800m), High Jump, Javelin / Turbojav and/or Ball Throw, Sprint Hurdles, Triple Jump (modified for those under 12), Discus, Long Sprints (300m/400m), Pole Vault, Hammer Throw or Medball Chest Pass (for those under 12). They will try to get through as many of the track events as they can through the day. Some events such as javelin will be dependent on the wind. Participants will need running shoes, athletic wear, and the usual outdoor things such as hats, water bottle, sunscreen. We need a minimum of 14 registrants for this event to happen, so register now! Mediated Learning Foundations LLearn the steps to empower your innate teaching skills. This series of three 2-hour sessions will include instruction, parent participation, and opportunity for Q & A. As participants meet in a virtual classroom, a microphone headset, a strong internet connection and speakers are required. Workshop runs for three Thursdays: October 12, 19, 26, from 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm. Foundations is a prerequisite to all other Mediated Learning Courses with the exception of Screen Impact. Once you have completed Foundations, please explore the other courses in any order. |

CLT 10 (College Preparatory Exam & Grade 9-10 Assessment) AThe Classical Learning Test 10 (CLT10) is for students in grades 10 or 11. These tests focus on numeracy and literacy, and can be a useful evaluation tool, as well as a CLT preparatory exam. CLT can be conveniently accessed from home.
