Bushcraft Torches - Lethbridge E0000When: November 24 from 10am - 12pm This hands on class will first cover knife safety and proper use before getting into creating your own bushcraft torch using all natural materials that can be used for light, moving fire, and emergency signalling. This is not a drop off program. If your student is not accompanied by an adult, they will not be able to participate in the program. Parents and children 5 and under are free with paying child. |

Winter Survial Combo - Lethbridge E0000When: November 24 from 10am - noon and 1 - 3pm Bushcraft torches: This hands on class will first cover knife safety and proper use before getting into creating your own bushcraft torch using all natural materials that can be used for light, moving fire, and emergency signalling. Fire Building: This class builds on the Fire Craft class but it is not necessary to have taken it. This workshop will cover more advanced considerations when starting a fire such as the science of fire and an In depth look at Tinder, Kindling and Fuel. After leaning some tips and tricks participants will build their own fire using only natural materials and a variety of lighting methods. This is not a drop off program. If your student is not accompanied by an adult, they will not be able to participate in the program. Parents and children 5 and under are free with paying child. |

Mediated Learning Foundations E E1010When & Where: This workshop utilizes tools created by neuroscientists to enhance every aspect of homeschooling. Parents will learn how to apply these tools to support their children, themselves, and others in overcoming challenges. The aim is to improve cognition, behavioral responses, and to foster faith in God and in one another. The workshop consists of two sessions, each lasting 2 hours. Foundations is a prerequisite to all other Mediated Learning Courses with the exception of Screen Impact. Once you have completed Foundations, please explore the other courses in any order. |
