Grande Prairie Family Fun Day

When: September 11, 2021 from 11 am to 3 pm
Where: Gordon & Leandra Loewen's acreage, Grande Prairie

Come for a day of connecting with other WISDOM Homeschooling families.

We'll have a large fire going for visiting around. There will be lawn games and a softball game later in the afternoon. Kayaking and canoeing on Bear Lake will be available. Pet the goats, puppies and kittens, or go for a halter-led ride on our horse. Enjoy a bbq lunch of hotdogs and hamburgers followed by roasted marshmallows. 

Water, juice and coffee will be provided as well. 

In the afternoon, there will be two workshops offered in the heated gym for interested parents. There will also be a display of favourite curriculum.

Workshops:

1:00-1:45 Homeschooling with Wisdom through Highschool
Presented by Leandra (25 years of HS'ing) and Joseph (HS Wisdom grad)

2:00-2:45 Panel of HS Graduates and Experienced Parents, Question & Answer

What to bring:

• lawn chairs
• extra food or drink for your family if you desire
• if you'd like to bring a favourite curriculum or project to display (inside the gym), we’d love to see it

Directions:

We are 20 minutes NW of GP on Bear Lake, 1.5 miles west of Bear Lake Bible Camp. Our address does not come up on Google Maps.

Instead:
Open Google Maps>hover over Grande Prairie>type, Gord Loewen>a pin should come up on the northside of Bear Lake

CABIN & RV available to rent Friday and Saturday nights if interested. Look on Airbnb for photos. Special price of $125 per night. Check with Leandra for availability.
