Rocky Mountain House Historic Site Family Gathering

When: Wednesday, Sept. 6th, 11-3pm
Where: Rocky Mountain House National Historic Site
What: Museum, Fur Trade post, educational puppet show, trails on extensive grounds

Possible demonstrations include Metis jigging and fiddling, bannock, blacksmithing. Admission will be free for students (have ID card as proof) and a small fee for parents. This is a great way to kick off your History studies for the 2023-2024 school year. We will learn about David Thompson, mapmaker and explorer and his Cree wife Charlotte Small as well as the way a Fur Trade post functioned in the late 1800's.
